Uncomforting.
Despairing.
Lonely.
Plunging deeper,
Into my abyss,
I am lured.
Taunting shadows,
Bellow at the struggle,
Of my screams that are unheard.
My savior,
Who kept a precious candlelight aglow,
You spoke gently then departed,
Leaving what I had unguarded,
Now darkness clutches greedily at the shards,
And engulfs what you started.
